DUST COLLECTION
Collectors sized to your dust, not to a catalog page.
Donaldson Torit cartridge, baghouse, and PowerCore collectors, weld fume and coolant mist capture, and Tri-Mer wet and charged-droplet technology for submicron loads. Specified, ducted, installed, and inspected by one contractor.

DONALDSON TORIT
The Torit line, front to back.
We have carried Donaldson Torit since the company started in 1972. That covers cartridge collectors, baghouses, PowerCore, fume and mist equipment, and the media that goes in all of it.
- Applications: pharmaceutical, chemical, grain and bulk powder, food, metalworking, welding
- Ancillary equipment: electrical control panels, fans, rotary airlocks, ductwork, pneumatic conveying, broken bag detectors
- Filter formats: cartridge, panel, and bag
- Media: Ultra-Web nanofiber cartridges and Dura-Life filter bags
CARTRIDGE COLLECTORS
Downflo, Vibra-Shake, and downdraft benches.
Automatic pulse cleaning with ledgeless internal construction, so dust does not shelf inside the housing. Ultra-Web nanofiber media loads on the surface of the pleat rather than in its depth, which is what keeps pressure drop flat between cleaning cycles.
- Downflo Oval, Downflo II DFT, Downflo Containment, Torit TD, Torit Vibra-Shake, downdraft bench
- 99.9% filtration efficiency on 0.5 micron dust
- Tangential inlet option for high dust loading
- Two-stage cartridge on Vibra-Shake units
- Clean-air recirculation where the heating or cooling load justifies it

BAGHOUSE
RF, Dalamatic, Unimaster, Modular, Cyclone, Cabinet.
Bag collectors still win on high-temperature, high-concentration, and sticky dusts. The RF uses oval bags and a cleaning system that needs no compressed air, which removes a utility from the installation.
- Torit RF: high-body inlet, 60 degree conical hopper, Dura-Life bags, no compressed air required
- Dalamatic: continuous duty on high dust concentrations in a compact footprint
- Unimaster: compact, high air-handling capacity, low noise
- Torit Modular: high-body inlets for light dusts, tool-free filter installation, optional integral fan
- Cyclone: 300 to 13,000 CFM, seismic zone 4 and 100 mph wind load ratings, removable cone for product recovery
- Cabinet sizes 50-80 and 90: 99.9% efficiency, manual shaker, EZ filter pack
POWERCORE
When floor space is the constraint.
PowerCore filter packs replace a bank of cartridges or bags with a fraction of the media volume. The practical result is a much smaller machine and a filter change that does not require a confined space permit.
- CPC: up to 50% smaller footprint than a comparable baghouse, ducted to multiple pickups
- CVC: up to 70% smaller than a conventional bin vent, for silos, conveyor transfer points, blenders and mixers
- TG series: up to 65% smaller than most cartridge collectors, available to 10,000 CFM, for plasma and laser cutting and thermal spray
- Tool-free filter access, no confined space entry for changeouts
- Ultra-Web media in the filter pack

FUME COLLECTORS
Weld fume, captured at the arc.
Weld fume is largely submicron, so capture velocity at the source matters more than total system CFM. Arms, portable units, and benches keep fume out of the breathing zone instead of diluting it into the building.
- Easy-Trunk and Porta-Trunk: three-stage filtration, 98% collection at 1.0 micron, 99.97% at 0.3 micron with the optional HEPA fourth stage
- AT 3000: 300 to 1,200 CFM, three-stage, Minihelic gauge standard
- Fume arms: 4, 6, and 8 inch diameter, reach to 14 feet, 360 degree rotation, bench or overhead mount
- Weld bench: 150 lb per square foot work surface, 150 FPM minimum capture velocity through the breathing zone, 99.999% at 0.5 micron, MERV 13 per ASHRAE 52.2
MIST COLLECTORS
Coolant mist, smoke, and oil.
Machining mist is a housekeeping problem, a slip hazard, and a filter killer if it reaches a dry collector. These units are built to drain, not just to filter.
- WSO: Synteq XP media in a cross-flow design built to drain water, smoke, and oil
- Centrifugal: three-stage, 98% at 1.0 micron, 99.97% at 0.3 micron with optional HEPA, in-cover and in-line prefilters
- Mini-Mist: 300 to 1,200 CFM, three-stage, optional HEPA
- Modular media horizontal: ceiling mount, ambient or source capture
- Modular media vertical: to 6,000 CFM, airfoil fan, handles coolant mist, wetted dust and swarf, liquids, and smoke
- High performance: 1,000 to 4,000 CFM for high-speed grinding, screw machines, turning, and quenching, on oil-based or water-soluble coolant

TRI-MER
Whirl/Wet, for dust that should not go dry.
A wet collector mixes dust into water inside a high-velocity airstream driven through opposed blade assemblies, then strips the carryover with a mist eliminator. Make-up water covers evaporation and sludge removal only.
- Roughly 99% efficiency on dust above 3 microns; efficiency falls off below that
- Automatic water level control
- Appropriate where dry media is a fire, explosion, or moisture problem
CLOUD CHAMBER SCRUBBER
Submicron particulate and acid gas.
The Cloud Chamber Scrubber charges the water droplets rather than the particles. A preconditioning chamber knocks out the coarse fraction and cools the stream, then two charge-generating vessels, positive then negative, sweep out what is left. Captured material drops to the sump as a low-volume slurry and the water recirculates.
- Up to 99% or better removal on particles from 0.1 to 2.5 microns, and treats particles down to 0.01 micron
- Inlet loading to 2,000 mg/m3 reduced to below 5 mg/m3
- Pressure drop under 1.5 inches water gauge
- Charging power draw of 10 watts maximum per 1,000 CFM
- Also removes acid gases, heavy metals, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, and metal oxides
- Licensed to Tri-Mer Corporation

REPLACEMENT FILTERS AND PARTS
Media and wear parts, in stock.
Filters, gaskets, and the small parts that strand a collector when they fail. One PowerCore filter pack replaces multiple cartridge or bag-style filters, which is usually the argument for converting an older machine rather than rebuilding it.
- Cartridge, baghouse, pleated bag, PowerCore, panel, and pleated filters
- Donaldson Ultra-Web nanofiber and Dura-Life media
- Panel filters: HEPA at 99.97% on 0.3 micron, and 95% DOP at 0.3 micron
- Wear and monitoring parts: solenoid valves, diaphragm kits, timer boards, rotary airlock rotors and wipers, photohelic gauges, broken bag detectors, bin level indicators, smoke detectors, compressed air dryers, flex hose, drum covers and liners
Send the process, not just the CFM.
Dust characterization, existing duct layout, moisture and temperature, and what the material does downstream all change the machine. We would rather ask now than retrofit later.
